Report: PFM Analysys Volume 2.0 with 75(!) Pointfighters
April 19th, 2012 by KiralyTeam received No Comments »It seems that, when Pointfighting Masters World Tour visits Germany, records are broken. It was not different this time neither, when PFM crew, Istvan Kiraly, Krisztian Jaroszkievicz and I visited a German town, Homberg at the last weekend (14-15 April) for the second time after 2011. Our Host, Jürgen Schorn and his right hand, Andreas Riem both did their job perfectly for this PFM station. 75(!) fighters and coaches came to learn how to do pointfighting at the highest level and with Jürgen’s and Andreas’s great hospitality we must have focused only on our job, teaching pointfighting. Istvan prepared with a bunch of very new excercises for analysys volume 2.0…
On this second seminar weekend almost all of the fighters and coaches took part, who also had took part at the first one. That is why it was easy to start to teach the group for analysys volume 2.0. That was necessary for them to know the basic pointfighting techniqus and our training method to move forward, because the new knowledge is logically based on the previous one.
For the whole seminar weekend Master Kiraly’s plan was to put the group to the next level in analysys based pointfighting, what generally means that you have to know your opponents’ capabilities and techniques at least as much as you know yours. Guys, make rule this order, because I honestly say that without it, you will be unable to develop yourself or your students and move forward in pointfighting.
On the first day there was continuous offensive and defensive pointfighting move, distance keeping and reactionary excercises with no end of variations with pure common analysys at the end of the day. Every person of the group were concentrating properly during excercises and focusing on Istvan’s words with bated breath. That was principally all the fighters’ and coaches’ attribute on the whole weekend. That is the only way to pick new knowledge up fastest and the most efficient way! Well done for it again!
On the second day Istvan paid particular regard to the practical use of analysing with excercises in small groups, where fighters could use their new knowledge against similar level opponents, what is a really important point, when a fighter wants to freshly pick new techniques up. On the last session we showed a very complex and extremely important method to practice and perfect pointfighting techniques, which method perfectly useful for preparing fights on tournaments. If you would like to know more about our method, please feel free to ask about it!
Summarizing the weekend, it was a huge success, but not for only over 70 pointfighters came to learn, but rather they went away satisfied with the knowledge, what they’ve got. That is why I recommend every person, even if he/she is fighter or coach experience the knowledge and analysys based pointfighting, what is the present and the future of our sport! Hereby we would like to thank you for your very hard and determinate work again, and thank Jürgen and Andreas for hospitality, who did make this wonderful seminar weekend to come into being!
See you guys soon in Austria,
Zsolt
